The Brief

Verdant Botanicals came to us as a concept — a luxury organic skincare line that wanted to feel modern and elevated without losing its connection to nature. The founders had a clear philosophy: skincare should be simple, effective, and beautiful. They needed a brand that embodied all three.

Our Approach

We started with an intensive discovery phase, exploring the intersection of luxury, nature, and minimalism. Our research took us through botanical illustration archives, Japanese packaging design, and Scandinavian minimalism.

The visual identity centers on a custom wordmark with graceful, organic letterforms that feel both contemporary and timeless. We paired this with a rich, earthy color palette — deep forest greens, warm terracotta, and cream — that feels luxurious without being ostentatious.

Packaging

The packaging system was designed with sustainability at its core. We worked with recyclable glass containers and FSC-certified paper, using a minimal label system that lets the product speak for itself. Embossed details and a soft-touch finish add tactile luxury.

Digital Extension

We extended the brand into a full e-commerce experience, designing a Shopify storefront that mirrors the calm, intentional feel of the physical products. Every touchpoint — from email confirmations to the unboxing experience — was considered.

Results

Verdant Botanicals launched to strong press coverage and sold out their initial run within three weeks. The brand has since been featured in Vogue, Domino, and The Strategist.

We came to Fireflies as a concept and a deck. Twelve weeks later we had a brand and a packaging system that the press wrote about before we'd finished filling our first warehouse. Selling out in three weeks was a planning problem we are very glad we had.
