Idris Adams
Senior Digital Designer
Idris Adams leads digital design at the studio's Los Angeles office, with a particular focus on the messy intersection of visual identity and product design. He's the person clients call when a beautiful brand has to live as a working app, and he treats interface design as exacting craft rather than an afterthought to the logo work.
About Idris
Idris Adams came to design from the engineering side. He spent four years as a front-end developer at an Atlanta fintech before realizing he wanted to be the person making the decisions he was implementing — and went back to RISD for an MFA in Graphic Design. That dual fluency now defines his work: he sketches in Figma, prototypes in code, and designs interfaces with the patience of someone who knows exactly what they cost to build.
Before joining Fireflies in 2023, Idris led product design at a Series B health-tech company, shipping a primary care platform used by 200,000 patients. The work taught him to prize clarity over cleverness, and to treat a well-designed empty state as a higher craft than another marketing landing page.
At the studio he leads digital projects end-to-end: information architecture, interaction design, design system documentation, and the inevitable hand-off conversations with engineering teams. He's the team's quiet authority on accessibility, performance budgets, and the unsexy parts of design that make the difference between a beautiful Figma file and a beautiful product.
Idris moved from Atlanta to Los Angeles in 2019 and has yet to forgive the West Coast for its inferior take on barbecue. He cycles to the studio every morning along the LA River bike path, and most weekends are spent at a small ceramics studio in Highland Park.
